Sora Crank spacers

Hi,
I just bought this

The cranks came with a spacer for each side - items 6 and 11 in the following link

Do I need to fit the spacers?

I just finished reading a thread where it was said you do need to fit spacers for a triple. i suspect this is because the crank is longer to accomodate the third chain ring.

it's in the instructions to do so, so i would say do it and see if it seems right when you're done.

For anyone reading this in future, I did fit the spacers and it's all symmetrical and shifting nicely.
