hi all

im looking into buying a new bike and i nearly got myself wrapped up in buying a brand new or nearly new bike.

then i got to thinking surely theres been a bike that has stood out over the years.

They vary year on year - often is just a name on a frame, the bike can be very different one year to the next. No real answer I am afraid.

maybe giant trance or specialized stumpy you know that kind of thing

Trails change every year, bikes change as well we could give you a brilliant trail an bike for one year but not overall to be honest.

The only AM Trail bike I can think of that hasnt changed much over the years is the Santa Cruz Heckler. Its had detail changes and new frames over the years but it is still recogniseably the bike that first came out in 1996.

Specialized Enduro and Stumpjumper have been great from their introduction and had steady evolution.
I wouldn't buy either though.
