Cracked Swingarm Can it be fixed?

My brother has just bought a 2006 Orange 223 bike and has noticed a crack in the swingarm, can it be fixed and how much would it roughly be? I have no idea where the crack is or what material it is, Thanks

on looking at the other picture, that doesn't look like a crack as it's not run down to the weld. Looks more like a deep scratch0
