CATLIKE WHISPER FAKES

the iconic Catlike helmets now have an imitation brand named COSI following it. The helmets are near identical but dont include any logo's and they have the plastic strap ends on the outside instead of inside. They sell on Amazon for around £15 (Real catlike whisper £80) and come in a range of colours. I am wondering if these are safe to use and if any of you have had experience with them please say whats is like. Im not really interested in buying one, just curious

    Since it's being sold on Amazon it will have passed all the safety tests required.

    Would probably weigh more than the more expensive helmet though.

    i do not believe that amazon does any safety testing nor that it verifies the supplier has done any

    amazon is simply acting as a storefront for the actual supplier, same as it does for suppliers of fake goods such as the remarkably cheap 'castelli' jersey+bibs etc.

    unless there are credible complaints of an issue, amazon will not take any action to take down items or a dodgy supplier

    The helmet is not been sold by amazon it is on amazon marketplace. There is no mention of weight or if it passed any safety regulation. I would not buy one, if you like the catlike helmets then buy a catlike and not some cheap knock off. There seems to be a lot of fake cycling gear on amazon marketplace lately and people think its real because it is on amazon.

    I wouldn't worry about safety ratings/tests.......it's only your head!
