Looking at buying a new Bike

Budget around £300-400

My mate has just got a "Scott Aspect 650" http://www.evanscycles.com/products/sco ... e-ec042359 although i thought this was a lovely ride, I don't want to copy my friends bike. So what can you guys suggest in the price bracket? Similar or a little better

    I was using my old/basic carrera Vulcan before it was stolen the other week, so in the market for a new 1

    He means what sort of riding will you be doing? Trail centres, cycle paths, etc etc.

    Sorry - park paths, roads (bad condition) canal paths and winlatter forest the odd time

    Have a look at the sticky up there ^^^^^^^^^^

    Apart from the name not much to recommend the Scott.
