I was wondering if anyone can tell me how the 2013 Mega AM climbs?

Also how it compares to the TR

I really can't decide between them for my demo bike short list

(It would be a custom build so its the frame more than the parts I'm interested in)

    AM on hills anyone?

I could use a dual position fork too

It climbs ok but its more about the down than up.
Mega TR comes with a single ring but its ok if you have the legs for it.
I never managed to find a Nukeproof demo bike.

Aren't they CRC brands, so presumably unless you live in Northern Island it's mail order only.

Nope. They are a Hotlines brand so you can buy them through a surprising number of local shops. I bought my Scalp from a small, privately owned shop in Somerset and had chance to try a medium and large bike for size.

I can get it from 10 minutes down the road haha

I would be building it myself so would be putting an SLX 26/38 chain rings on with an 11-36 rear cassette so the gearing wouldn't be an issue

I was thinking I could build it up with pikes with dual position so I could drop it for the climb and release on the downs

The thing is I'm really keen to try some enduro type stuff so I thought the AM may be better than the TR for that

    I have a 2012 Mega with an X-fusion Vengeance DLA. 170/140mm fork
    Love it.

I tried a TR for a short ride - felt like a great bike, had a XX1 set up and for my flimsy legs felt a little undergeared with 32t front but pedalled well and felt very planted but lively.

It seems that nukeproofs a pretty solid on the downs

I will defiantly demo one, I will try and build it light if I got one

Contact Hotlines. They will tell you where (if) you can get a demo. I found them very helpful, a quick call to them on a Friday afternoon and they had a pair of Scalp's delivered to my local shop the following morning.

My local shop is a nukeproof dealer so I think they should be able to get the demo in
