Problem with rear brake rotor

Hi all,
Yesterday I noticed one of the gardeners at the hospital where I work knocked my bike that was locked to some railings outside my department with the large lawnmower he was pushing. It didn't seem to be a major hit so didn't think any more of it. However, when I came to ride home, I found the rear rotor now seems to be catching on the caliper every time it goes round. This seems to me to mean that the caliper is slightly bent. Is this likely to be the case? also, what can I do about it? Is it possible to adjust the brakes, bend the rotor back (I'd guess this is a no-no) or does it mean a new rotor? The bike is a 2012 Rockhopper Expert with Shimano BR-M446 brakes

Yes you can adjust them - loosen caliper, centre and tighten.
Yes you can bend the rotor.
But depends what's wrong.
I doubt anything is actually bent.
Is the wheel in straight?I don't do smileys.
