Im ready to click the buy it now button but im unsure of which to get.
The contenders are ..
The Superstar switch evo hubs and pacenti tl28
or
The Fulcrum Red power 29 XL
For my Rockhopper which i managed to trash the rear wheel when the wind blew the front door shut.
My riding isnt hardcore at all and i usually slow down for anything that resembles broken bones and missing teeth so im pretty easy on my gear. a bit of gentle XC really. A bit of strength is necessary for piece of mind but hopefully something a bit lighter than the standard wheels ( I have no idea what they weigh)
My budget is £200 and would have gone for the Superstar option ages ago but read reviews about poor build quality which is putting me off.

I know someone with the fulcrums, I think they're fine after a year of use0

I have the Superstar Tesla with Pacenti tl28's, I've also read the negative reviews recently, but can honestly say mine have been running smooth and with no problems and they dont get the easiest ride! Wheels feel much lighter than my previous Mavics and roll superfast!0

That's pretty lame - was it a slow motion thing where you saw the door start to go but couldnt grab it in time lol0 -

Very lame lol. Thankfully not slow motion as that would have just prolonged the agony.... Regardless, it was followed by lots of shouting swearing which then caused an argument with the wife as she thought i was shouting and blaming her.0 -

You know one is a 26 inch wheelset and the other a 29inch wheel set? double check which one you need. Newer Rockhopers take 29 while older ones take 26.
Edit sorry just seen your post where you have already identified that. ignore me. :oops:0
