Afternoon,I am in some what of a pickle.

I sent my Hayes Sole in for repair, and they seem of been misplaced!

Anyway, I want to replace the front brake, what can I get instead, looking at spending £35 new or used. I just use it for a gentle cycle no trails etc.

Could you tell what fitment I need for Rockshox J2 forks, as I have been looking and some caliper mountings are diffrent.

New to this so bare with me!

Thanks

They're IS mount so you'll need to find out what caliper you're using and what rotor size you have.

So if you have a shimano caliper (can't go wrong there) which is post mount and a 160mm diameter rotor you will need an IS to Post Mount 160mm diameter adaptor.

Superstar components sell all you will need.

Just a thought, shouldn't whoever recieved the brake replace it if they lost it?

Well, that's in the pipeline. I have asked them about that, and there still looking for it, I asked on Tuesday.

They said something about getting back costs.

I am using a 160mm front disc I think, which bolts onto the hub. Using Alexrims DM24.

    Thanks

The disc isn't the issue, you just need the right adapter to work between fork and caliper.
