On-One have some pretty good deals on Ryde wheels just now. I just ordered a pair of 26in Adrenalin for £149.99 from £539.99.
(couldn't find any online reviews so now awaiting a wave of forum replies saying they're crap and a bo77ocking from the wife when she finds out )

Ryde rims is the new name for Rigida since they were bought by the holding company that also owns Sapim.
I have the lightweight Ryde Edge7 rims on mine, no issue at all, although they have probably only done 200 miles since I built them up.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Hi I have just brought some of these wheels what do you think to them do they perform well? What sort of terrain can you ride on with them? What tyres do you have on yours? Can they handle drop offs?
Many Thanks

it's bought BTW
they are XC wheels I'd not be doing large drop offs with them
are the weights accurate compared to the website?0 -
Hmm quite tempted to buy a set but I doubt they'll be up to much more than flat trails.0

I bought a pair. They seem well built with sapim CX ray spokes. The hubs are rebranded novatec but they seem pretty good at first ride.0

can you switch axel sizes on the front hub?0

According to novatec yes. But where you can get the adapters from is a different question. I was looking all day yesterday and couldn't find any.0 -
Try here and see if they ship to the UK http://www.bdopcycling.com/Wheels-Parts.asp0

My Ryde Edge7 rims are still true (despite being built by me!) after about 600 off road miles, they were within 3g of claimed weight as well.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I've still not ridden mine. I got the rotors and cassette but forgot to get rotor bolts (I want them as my "good" wheels to swap to when I'm riding for fun rather than commuting). I've finally received them (a bargain £5 for coloured ones from Superstar including torcx wrench) and fitted the rotors last night when the wife was engrossed in Waterloo Rd.
Does anyone know if they are tubeless compatible?0 -

A good guess to start with, lets face it theres probably only handful of hubs out there that aren't novatec hubs rebranded.0

Sorry to hijack the thread but how do the wheels ride? I'm after a new set of wheels and these seem to fit the bill but I can't find any reviews online. Do they ride like a £540 wheelset or is this optimism on on-one's part? Are the weights in line with the claimed weights (1,660g for the pair)? Thanks0

They are no way a 540 quid wheelset. Maybe 200. But still decent for the money.0

Would they take anything other than XC riding, I'm not talking proper downhill or anything but are they strictly XC only?"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

Xc and your typical trail riding. Are not jump or dh wheels but then again not xc race wheels.0

Thanks, might take a punt on some."Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

I think the weight of these wheels are good and they are tubeless ready! I have just fitted some Schwalbe Hans Dampf Evo Snake Skin TrailStar to them, they are pretty sick!! I was just wondering what these were http://www.bdopcycling.com/Wheels-Parts.asp what ones I would need to order for these wheels. Sorry if I am asking stupid questions I am still learning
Cheers

I finally gave my pair a run out last week and was impressed with them. They are very light and run well. The only problem I had wasn't related to the wheels themselves but with the rivets on the Superstar rotors I'd fitted catching on the brake callipers. This was easily remedied by filing down the calliper a touch0

does anybody know whether it's possible to remove the decals from these rims?0
