Should one use a special type of grease with carbon frames, or is the regular Finish Line stuff OK???

It's just a hill. Get over it.

What do you need grease for? For clamping parts use carbon paste.

Seat pin lube, etc??? Surely it uses grease or the equivalent????

Carbon post in a carbon frame (or indeed a carbon post / ally frame or the reverse) i'd assemble it dry, and only resort to carbon assembly paste if it slippeed.

I use hair spray on my carbon post in a carbon frame. If I used grease it would slide.

No, I think some greases can damage the resin and so affect strength. If the seatpost slips with nothing on it then use carbon assembly paste. This has a granular feel that allows stronger clamping forces without yanking on the bolt.

You only really need a tiny bit of paste for the post, while i was in my local cycle surgery I just got them to dap a bit inside a small pop lock jiffy bag, I was also buying something but didn't want a whole tube of the stuff.
