Which bike

In a bit of a pickle as to which bike to get. I've got my cyclescheme voucher and due to price drops and sales have changed my mind numerous times but I am torn between 3 bikes, pinnacle dolomite 4 or 5 and giant defy 2. Dolomite 5 is now cheaper with better groupset than the defy 2 was a month ago (although I can now get defy 2 for under £700) thats why I added it but bascically it was between dolomite 4 and defy 2 as they are very close in price now for similar components. What screws my up is reading to many mag and online reviews from pros and not people who own them. Both bikes are comfy with relaxed geometry which is what I want but still not an easy decision even though its not cash up front I dont like making big purchases (because of what ifs) even when I want it

Seriously, forget about reviews, wherever they come from. Decide based on what you get on with. There is only so much variation between components as it is. Try them all and buy the one you like best.0

Gets a good write up, looks lovely in orange (my opinion).0 -
in my opinion you should get to the shop in person if you can, look at the bikes, try them out and then buy whichever one you fall in love withCube Cross 2016

Yes go into the store. If I can add to the confusion - I'm presuming from the Pinnacle bikes that this is Evans - Pinnacle is their own brand.
I was going to go for a Pinnacle Dolomite 5 when I had my cyclescheme voucher last year as it had the best spec for the money compared to the usual suspect branded bikes (Cannondale etc. 105 versus tiagra on nearly everything else). But on test riding it - didn't like it. Evans also are the exclusive retailer in the UK of BMC bikes - I test rode one of these and it was like riding a gazelle compared to the packhorse that was the Pinnacle. So I now have the BMC - lovely bikes in my not-so unbiased opinion.0
