Hi,
I was searching through Amazon and found a hoist up bike rack. It has 7 reviews which all appear to be good. Has anyone tried one?

Lidl were doing them for £5 a while back as well so the Amazon one does seem a bit steep.
Couple of maybe useful comments here:

It works near a wall where you're not walking under it, I hang my bikes from a beam in the garage which works quite well.0

I've got 5ft of shelving under my bike, the weird winch thing might be snake oil but hanging your bike from the ceiling isn't.0

5 foot under the bike? Do you live in a warehouse or an old church?
Quite apart from that, how the hell do you get the bike up there without smashing up everything that's on the shelving?0 -
I live in a house, the bike lives in the garage.
I lift it up by the down tube then hook it on by the seat, I'm hardly Stallone but it's not hard to do.0 -

Cross post edit, see above.0

Ah, so you stand on top of your 5 feet of shelves, knocking stuff everywhere in order to hook your bike on the world's tallest garage ceiling?0

You need to understand Yeehaa is a tiny Welsh midget, so anything over a foot needs a stepladder.I don't do smileys.

No, FFS, I lift up the bike, grab it by the down tube, lift it above my head then hang it from the ceiling by the seat. I'm guessing you must live in a hobbit hole.0

Me too. Garage has a vaulted roof with plenty of beams, so with the addition of a length of 2" x 2" timber from a Ducati Multistrada crate (free), 4 woodscrews and 4 plastic coated hooks (£2 per pair from Asda) mine are both hanging up out of the way, above my Triumphs, overlapped so they only occupy the length of one and a half bikes (and the width of one). Works for me.0 -
