Few bits for the bike?

I have a £40 voucher to spend at Wiggle...... Obviously I'm not going to end up with too much for £40 but was thinking of getting a few maintenance bits such as lube for chain, some cleaning products or something..... What do you all suggest?

I have a virtually 'as new' Boardman Comp (not even got it muddy yet  ) so thought maybe get a few things to keep it in good order.

I still need to get a helmet and probably shorts and shoes but really need to go somewhere to check these items for size so thought some maintenance bits might be an idea??

    for maintenance

I use this for the chain http://www.wiggle.co.uk/finish-line-dry ... ml-bottle/ does the job and lasts about 2 - 3 months

Something like this is handy to take while riding http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lifeline-essent ... ulti-tool/

you can do without but something like this is always handy for dirt in the cassette or just tight gaps http://www.wiggle.co.uk/bbb-btl-17-toot ... ing-brush/

Obviously a sponge and bucket is handy, I don't find the cleaning spays worth it personally, some warm water with washing up liquid works fine

If you've not got a helmet, i'd put the £40 towards a new one, rather than buying cleaning stuff etc for the sake of it. This way, you can put £20-£30 to it and get something pretty decent

If you don't have a helmet, get one.

Otherwise perhaps get some kit for your bag:

    Power links (few quid)
    Decent mini-pump
    Inner tubes
    Good tyre levers
    Repair kit
    Good multi-tool (topeak)
Finishline wet lube (dry rubs off very quickly)

    Maintenance/Cleaning:
    Brushes
    Chain cleaner
Water repellant (Bike Spray, not WD40)
    GT85
    Teflon Grease

Find a helmet you like in a shop, buy from Wiggle.....

Then top up the order to the £40.
