I was wondering what you'd consider too much money to spend on a new bike?
I'd say over £3k unless it's for racing

What a silly question.
What amount of money someone will spend on a new anything depends upon their disposable income.0 -
That all depends on the size of your bank balance, how much you ride, how seriously you take riding and your financial priorities.
For some people £5k is about right, for others £300 is more than enough.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

I have a mate who bikes and is on over 100k a year (dollars). He has a 600 dollar Giant. He loves it and rides it to all the bike parks. I earn roughly average British wag and have a 2.5k bike with prob another 500 spent on it.
Its a bit of a silly question or not worded very good.
How much do you think is reasonable and acceptable to spend on a car. Id say half a years wage as dont want to be a 10 pence millionaire!? See what I mean.0 -
