Rs80 bearing cup issue
Sussed out

Hi all,
I think I know where this is going but here goes...
I was racing in Belgium when I hit a kerb very very hard. It was one of the slangy kerbs they have over there and testament to how strong these wheels are they aren't damaged or out of true.
The hub however was a little gritty. So I bought bearings and new cones but upon inspection there is a small imperfection on the cup.
Does this mean the hub is a write off? I couldn't just pack it with grease and hope for the best?
Thanks,
Ben

Pack it with grease. You have nothing to lose as the cost of a replacement hub makes the wheel a write-off anyway.0

Ok cheers.
Do I bother putting new cones and bearing in or just bung the old ones back in?0 -
Unless the cones are obviously worn / pitted I'd just put in new bearings and refit the existing cones.0

I think that as you already have the cones, what would be the point in not using them?0

That is a good point!0
