I'm going to buy a set of portable rollers, something fairly basic. Two obvious sets - Tacx Antares and Elite Arion. There may be others worth considering.
Tweaks Cycles have got the Tacx for about £150 delivered. The Elite £180 0r so.
Anyone got any experience of these and care to suggest a 'Best Buy'?

I have the basic Elite Arion. They're the first and only rollers I've ever used (for about 4 months now) so can't provide any comparison advice. I am however very happy with their quality and function. The parabolic shape on the ends of the rollers have been pretty useful in preventing catastrophe in the early days of use.BMC Team Machine SLR01

I still find the price of rollers now ridiculous.
for what is effectively 3 plastic rollers, 2 pieces of box tubing and an elastic band we are paying way above the price.
Tacx used to make small drum rollers which you could buy for around £60 brand new. Guess the boom in cycling means they can up the price of everything.
FWIW I've used Tacx anteres rollers and find them rubbish, the drums cracked after the bearings wore out after roughly 2 years light use. I'll carry on using my old tacx large drum rollers from the 80s which ride like cobbles but are still tried and tested.0 -
