Cannondale F300 - Needs some work - Worth it?

Hi, after a bike for casual riding, spotted a Cannondale F300 (possibly 2006??) for £65. in working order but 'will need a new back wheel soon' Just wondering if this 1, worth the money and 2, a half decent bike that will last a while. Cheers!

Pretty sure its a 1997 model, would there be any problems upgrading components on it?0 -
