Hi Guys
I'm off to Scarborough tomorrow and fancy using a bit of the Transpennine trail between Hull & Hornsea - does anybody know what the surface is like ? I have two options, my summer bike with 25mm GatorSkins or my winter commuter with 32mm Marathon Plus.
Obviously I'd prefer the summer bike but is the surface good enough ?
I hope someone can help.

Not sure about that part of it but around here its a mix of road, path and old railway line. Not sure a road bike is ideal but it won't kill it!0

Well, parts of the tarmac section were very bumpy but perfectly do-able, albeit a little slow. Out of Hull towards Hornsea the track was loose gravel - OK at the moment as we have had very dry weather - but probably a lot of grief in the wet.
Enjoy.
