Insanely tight stand :(

I recently bought a second hand Subway 8 after falling in love with hub gears on my vintage Raleigh, the thing is it still has the crappy stand that no doubt was attached at Halfords when the bike was new.
I have tried almost everything short of taking an angle grinder to it to get it off, its loose enough for the stand itself to end up clipping the spokes yet I have had a spanner and a socket on it and it just wont budge, i've sprayed it with gt80 and still no joy, any ideas before I actually DO take an angle grinder to it?

Heat gun? Other than that I'd be dousing it in oil and giving it another go with socket and spanner. Got a photo?- - - - - - - - - -

Apply enough torque and eventually you'll snap the bolt (at most an M6 I suspect).
Or tighten it up first to allow you to clean the threads and lube them before undoing!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
