Horrible grinding after riding through mud
Hi guys,
Around this time of year, the downsides of living on farm, with regards to road cycling, become very clear. Harvest time has begun, and tractors are leaving huge amounts of mud over the road. This coupled with the rain is resulting in some pretty terrible conditions. After riding through all this yesterday, my Specialized Tarmac Sport is now making some horrible grinding noises from the rear hub and the bottom bracket area.
I was wondering if this is going to have to be a strip-down job to clean everything?
Also, if anyone has any help or advice to prevent this happening again. Not riding through it is not really an option, you can't avoid it, and it'll stay like this for a few weeks now!
Thanks in advance!

Fitting full length mudguards may help to keep the mud off your bike if you don't already have them on your bike.0
