Trail holiday for beginner

Looking at having a weekend away with the wife who is a novice to mtbing,although we have rode fire trails together she as yet to experience the joys of riding trails and her fitness is fairly limited.Looking for suggestions for locations either in Wales or the Lakes (or indeed anywhere else you can think of in the UK) which would be a good,but gentle introduction to trail riding.

    Have a look at the Forest of Dean. There are plenty of places to stay and you could book a half-day training session with The Bike School on the Saturday morning then ride the trails for the rest of the weekend.
