Which hybrid?
I have a Boardman Hybrid Pro which I LOVE. I have finally convinced my wife to follow me to the hybrid world. We both commute about 70 miles a week to and from work and plan to stretch our legs at weekends. She has set her budget at £500 although I'm looking at £750.
What am I asking? a) a decent comparison to my Pro for the money. b) a good, fast commuter that's comfy, c) any advice or pointers that may not necessarily be mainstream and lastly, I need to complete the transaction in northern England in the 1st weekend of September as we live in Germany!!!!!!!
ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated.
(I'd prefer. NEVER to get a bike from Halfords again).

Why not get a boardman from wiggle? they will deliver to Germany if I am not mistaken?
if you need to collect from the UK, you better get ringing about and getting some bikes in stock...."If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

If you love the Boardman Pro why not get her one of those? Or if sticking to the lower budget get a Comp. I know you said you don't want to buy from Halfords again, but really all you have to do is go in, buy the bike and never go back. Have it checked over by your LBS. Seems a shame to pass on a good bike just because it's Halfords. It's not like you're gonig to be able to get warranty repairs done if you're overseas anyway.Shut up, knees!

Like i said, If you want a Boardman and live abroad go to wiggle, you don't even have to come to the uk.
They are the International dealer for Boardman."If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

The Edinburgh bike co-op in Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds or Sheffield. Their Revolution Courier range have a good reputation as value for money commuters. Staff are also very helpful - its a co-op, they're all enthusiasts. Give them a call.
