Cantilever to 105 Swap?

I'm considering replacing the Tektro cantilevers on my Cannondale Caadx with 105s. Don't race on mud & would like a match with the derailleurs and an improvement to the braking. I assume that I'll need new cables(inner & outer) in addition to the calipers. Has anyone done this in the past and can offer any advice please?

    they wont fit.

    consider mini-v brakes instead

TRP CX9.0 mini-vees if running Shimano - more powerful than any caliper brake and a doddle to set-up. The Tektro cantis are OK, trouble is most people don't know how to set them up correctly - straddle wire too long, so you get mushy brake feel at the point where you want 'bite'
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
