Whats the difference between motion control and motion control IS?
I'm trying to decide if I should run a lighter spring with a few more clicks of MCIS or the current spring with less clicks of MCIS.
Can't seem to find a happy medium even though I'm already using a lighter spring than the RS manual would suggest...

Mcis has a high speed shim stack. It is not affected by the low speed adjuster.0

so... 2nd question, am I wrong to use the MCIS to "preload" a softer spring.... or will I get issues with high speed compression when using the softer spring?0

Preload and damping are two very different things. What problems are you having?0

Just playing about... only use 1 click of mc as it makes the fork really harsh, socwas wondering if a lighter spring would allow me to tune the compression damping more0

What sag are you running? Do you bottom out?0

Depends what I'm riding lol.but sag is 20-25% without gear and yeah I occasionally use all the travel when on DH.
Currently running a firm spring, RS recommend a Xfirm for my weight.0
