Rockrider 5.0 Advice?

Hi newbie here, saw the rockrider 5.0 in decathalon today and wanted some advice, i would only be using it for a couple for hours every other weekend just to the local parks etc with the kids and would need to fit a WeeRide Safefront Bike Seat on it also.

Would this be a decent bike and do the job required or is it rubbish because it is so cheap?

It's rather heavy but will do what you want. Not much choice at that price - I'd look second hand
