Is my front derailleur cage bent?

Yesterday i was riding my bike as usual and while shifting to the highest gear in the front (biggest chain-ring) the chain got jammed. After pedaling back and freeing the chain i noticed that the chain started rubbing against the derailleur and at first i thought that the derailleur needed some re-adjusting but after a few hours of adjusting it i gave up because i couldn't make it work properly.
So today I've taken my bike to my LBS and they said that the derailleur cage is bent.
They told me that they could try and bend to it's original form for about 10$ but they can't guarantee that the derailleur will work properly. The other option is to replace the derailleur with a new one.
The derailleur is a Shimano Acera
here are some photos of the derailleur:
What do you think? is it possible to bend it back to it's original form?
Thanks!

Bend it something like straight then."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Angle is weird in the first pic, but a new one is only about a tenner anyway.I don't do smileys.

If its bent, then grab the cage some mole grips and give a gentle yank. Might want to put a cloth in between the grips and cage if you dont want it to get it scratched.0
