Chain line check

I'm trying to fit an E-thirteen XCX-ST chain guide (seat tube mount) to my 2012 Giant anthem. I can't get the guide out far enough from the seat tube to line up with the chain ring, it's about 3-4mm too close to the seat tube.
I'm using Shimano Deore cranks with a BB30 press fit bottom bracket and a Renthal SR4, 34t chain ring.
I guess it's probably incorrect chain line, the BB was fitted when I bought the frame.

center of downtube to center of the front chain rings.
ask the maker of he frame."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I found the problem. I have been sent a CX chain guide rather than a mtb one.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
