    You'll enjoy this, Veronese, http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=plcp&v=-rJjPG-ROcs

My first race win but, more importantly, my 6-pot calipers (in particular my pass on the green AlfaSud in the greasy conditions). We could both easily have locked our brakes but it's the modulation & control the big 6-potters give me that helped me past.

Blimey, just had a quick look at that. I'd have thought a Sud would be better in the wet and you'd have more advantage in the dry. What sort of brakes are they? I must watch that in full at home tonight. I can only get away with so much whilst at my desk. Saw the race winning thread whilst I was away. Well done, you're going to have to learn your way around Zandvoort next by the sound of it.
  • Nice.

MRS - have you thought about getting Di2 fitted in your car. It's just at 9.54 looked like you needed a bit of help changing gear

The brakes are Alfaholics branded generic 6-pots running DS3000 pads.

LMAO - too funny! For £11,000 + VAT I can get a paddle-shift sequential gearbox....

I did gee me up to put in the fastest lap of the race on the last lap (you can see I'm working just that bit harder at the wheel)

For those with Sky, you'll be able to see the race on Motors TV - you might even see me interviewed

  • That's a rubbish car. No stereo, no aircon. The windows aren't even tinted.

That, mrs, is a hugely impressive bit of driving in a very competitive category and you deserve a rather large dose of respects. That was a beautiful 105/115 Coupe you passed for 3rd place though - one of my fave cars!

Excellent race MRS, well done. The GTJ/GTV is a lovely car, but I do like the Giulia saloon as well. When is it on Motors? Do they show it on t'interweb as well?

Thank you. Which Giulia coupe did you mean? The 3rd place car was a red one which I passed early on and I lapped another red one later in video. My car is obviously also a Giulia coupe - 1969.

Cheers Veronese. The white Giulia Super I passed is a beautiful car. It crashed exiting Gerrards last year - got a wheel on the grass. He was understandably cautious this year.

I think the race is on at the end of the month (will keep an eye out on the CTCRC website) - Motors normally repeat it several times. They do sometimes put some programmes on line but not often.
