Snapped right crank arm

Snapped right crank arm in a pretty horrific crash yesterday, fortunately rest of my bike is all right. Need to replace crank arm and not sure what to do. I assume whole crank set will need to be replaced. My bike is Felt Z95, and has an FSA Tempo crank set, but I can't find any places to buy this, and am looking at some others, namely Shimano 105s. Not sure if these would fit, and whether I would have to do anything special to get them to fit. Any ideas?

Details on Z95 here http://www.feltbicycles.com/USA/2013/Road/Z-Series/Z95.aspx

According to that link you have a square tapered bottom bracket.

You could replace the crank with any other square taper 5 bolt crank that has the bolts at the same bolt circle diameter. The BCD of your cranks seems to be 130 mm (http://www.cyclechat.net/threads/fsa-te ... ng.109019/).

If you just buy a crank, make sure you get one that is the same length as the original (165, 170, 172.5 175mm etc). Sometimes this number is stamped into the crank somewhere.

I'm not sure Shimano do a 105 with a square taper hole.

You can use Shimano 105 if you remove the square taper BB and fit a set of external Hollowtech II cups which you can pick up for around £15. If you want to continue to use the square taper BB then you need to buy a chain set specifically for it (e.g. Shimano 2300 or FSA Vero etc.). Square taper BBs are quite heavy, but they're a lot more weather resistant than external cups, which you can end up needing to change quite frequently. I guess it depends on how much you're prepared to spend and if you want something a little lighter and nicer looking. I think the new black Sora chainset looks pretty nice if you don't want to fork out for 105.

If you're keeping the bottom bracket, you need to measure the axle length and make sure that the replacement crankset requires the same length - there can be a considerable difference. If you get this wrong it'll screw up your chainline and Q factor.
