Hi, just sorted my elixirs now on to my daughters bike, got clarks cmd-11's on and the rear doesn't seem to return properly, when you pull the lever it doesn't move back in to position like it should and neither does the part of the caliper the cable pulls on.
Any advice on possible faults and idea are very welcome.

Does the caliper arm flick back on its own without the cable tied to it?0

It could be that the return spring on the caliper is broken/damaged.0

Calliper, cable, lever, narrow it down first!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Seems to be the caliper not returning, removed the spring and re seated it, but no change.0

So is the spring exerting a force or does it need an extra turn of preload, or is it sticky enough to overcome the force applied?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Not sure about pre load, tightened the retaining bolt as far as I can right now, the arm moves when pulled by the cable, but sticks when returning, either stopping part way or not moving at all, unless I push it gently at which point it springs back0

Maybe just needs a lube up round the shaft?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Finally got it sorted, the cable was catching in what I can only describe as a rotating cable guide, re-routed the cable and all works spot on now0

No, not at all was only when I was looking at the cable that I found what was causing it to stick. Thanks for the help.0
