feeling below par - it turns out shots in the Indian was a bad idea. today is cycling down to Coventry airport for some publicity shots for my end to end cycle, at the moment I can only see through one eye - so its going to be hard work as its circa 100 mile ride. Later is a party, but i'm driving :(

Get smashed and sneakily vomit in their shoes.

    Morning,

I'm getting too old for these 18 hour working days, shattered and I've only been back from holiday less than a week!

Nor enough time for getting "Welshkev'd" - ie a bit tipsy on Snowballs and having a little snooze in the corner.

we need a rating system for p1ssedness, obviously getting 'Matthew H'd' is the top of the pile and getting 'Welshkev'd' is the bottom!

So last night me and mrs13 had the standard one bottle of wine, i fancied the second, she agreed saying we could put the cork back in when we have had enough! like that was ever going to happen! So i'm nowhere near H'd but a bit away from being Welshkev'd!

And how many levels should we have!

Onwards to more pondering and crispy bacons!

Way basted would be level one. I don't drink, so being 'Clankered' is the zero level!

    Afternoon spitwads,

Back from a flying lap of Cannock; shopping done (some groceries and some new boots for the Trance), washing in the machine and feet up ready for the UCI shizzle to kick off on Redbull TV. Now that's a satisfactory day!

    Onwards!

  • Afternoon Losers!

I've spent most the day in a church playing for 2 weddings. The joys of being a musician. Still, the £250 cheque is now in the bank, so can't complain.

That's pretty much it to be honest.

I say we should have 10 stages as in martial arts black belt Dan ratings.

Clank'd would have to novice or entry level, Way basted maybe a level 1, Welshkev'd mid level somewhere with obviously H'd being completely shoot faced in honour of our own Mister Miyagi, mathew h.

Others can be nominated as suitable.

totally agree cicatriz, do we need external validation or health and safety involvement? obviously i follow the brewers advice and 'drink responsibly' but would be willing to wear a hard hat, hi viz jacket and safety boots if i was going for it!

Gaaah tried to take the orange around Cannock earlier, it's been a while since it got used in anger and it took some getting used to. After a couple of washouts I've remembered how to ride a bike again though with none of this full suss or dropper seatpost nonsense.

Was hoping to get out for a spin on the roadie this afternoon too to get some proper distance in today and loosen the knee but the afternoon has been spent discussing wedding plans and hearing the rules about when I'm allowed to organise the stag do and what types of injuries are acceptable risks.

Supposed to be playing tennis tomorrow morning so was going to be sober tonight but all this talk of drinking has got me in the mood so might go down the pub later once I've checked the bank balance can take it… I'm not hopeful though
  • Morning homos.

Right! The Reed has been fettled and is now fully functioning again.

Tomorrow marks my first "proper" MTB ride since...... errrrrrm, probably September last year. Got to get some MTB miles in before the End2end next month. Time has come to cast aside roadie gheyness, and return to the flock of the gnar.

So that's my chance at the distance challenge down the toilet this month anyway.

pity those who don't drink, the way they feel when they wake is the best they will feel all day

So pissed you were finger blasting a fatty by the bins while wearing a hi viz, hard hat (incase she fell on you,) and safety boots?

    I'd call that a 5.

I spent this morning falling off at Lee and Cragg. Sprained thumb, bruised nipple and broken brake lever - this is why I don't ride with people faster than me (essentially anyone).
