Boardman hybrid left side creak

Hi

My first week riding my new Boardman Hybrid Team road bike and I have an annoying creak/clicking-ish from the left pedal arm area when the left pedal is being pushed from the top of its travel. I have changed the pedals from standard to the shimano spd-sl and it still happens. Doesn't happen when free wheeling and the pedals are stationary.

Please advise a total noob but I have tightened the pedal arm shimano bolts on both sides so isn't that

If its new take it back under warranty.

One common issue is seat post creaking which manifests itself when pedalling, I had it and was convinced it was coming from the BB !!

Its the pedal bearing, very common on the OEM pedals, pop it back in and they'll change them for you.

But I've changed the pedals to shimano spd ones.

I had a similar creak with my Boardman Road Comp. That has an FSA MegaExo chainset.
I took it back at the 6 week service and told them. They "greased the bearings"??? and the noise disappeared.

took it in today, it was the fsa megaexo that wasnt greaed properly. been out tonight and it's fixed it
