Well, it's been a while...

From March to September 2011, I was commuting 20+ miles a day in hilly Plymouth on my trusty old, self-modified Dawes . My work finished there so I was back to flatland commuting back home in Norfolk.

In November the same year, some delight took my and my motorbike down and my wrist took the brunt of the fall. All mended now complete with titanium and bolts, not to mention pain and restricted movement!

Since that day, I have hardly been in the saddle.

Well, the time is right! I am working in Hull 4-odd days a week a week or two each month and I'm gonna hit the streets once more.

My commute will be form the North bank of the Humber Bridge to The Deep business centre starting next Tuesday.

I'm sure my saddle-bits will be sore and gawd knows how my lungs or legs will be! It'll be about 7 miles each way to start with.

Wish me luck, and if you see me gasping for breath at the side of the river Humber, come and say hi - just don't expect a fluid conversation!

    Good luck!

You'll have to make it across the bridge next! (It should be free for bikes)
