Hi All
I new to Mountain Biking, I have a GT avalanche 3.0 2012. I basically just started doing some downhill trails/forest. Only done some red graded ones for now. buts its great! I am crap at it but I will get better!
I am wondering if this bike is good enough for this? I know nothing about Bikes but even I can tell the forks on this bike are pap, the rebound almost knocks you off the bike lol.
Would I benefit from having a better bike being as I am a newbie?
Should I just hammer this one around until it starts to break?
Thanks

Yes, just get riding. There's enough of us on the Internet just talking about it and upgrading components pointlessly as it s.0

I don't often suggest blowing money, but the forks are rubbish. A decent pair would make a big difference.I don't do smileys.

You are right really. I should just get out there and ride and learn to cope with it, maybe try and find some forks but thats it.
