Upgrading Crank

I have a 2013 Trek Marlin (http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/mo ... ort/marlin)
It currently has a Shimano Altus 44/32/22 crank with square taper. The left arm is coming loose and is now beyond repair so looking to upgrade. I am thinking about the Deore M590 or Deore M591 in 44/32/22 but don't know what the difference is besides the $3 difference.
I also found this crank but not sure if it will work with my set up... http://www.jensonusa.com/Cranksets/Race ... et-2012-Oe
Just need help to get my bike back on the rode so I don't go insane haha
Thank you for reading and I hope to get some feedback from you guys. First time posting, who knows how many timeth lurking

the 590 is described for MTB while the 591 is for trekking.
can't really see any difference between the two.
the raceface crank comes with its own BB and won't fit your current one but can be swapped over.0 -

What is the difference between MTB and trekking if they have the same ring sizes and look like same material? I am using it for a a little of both, 25% MTB - 75% road riding/exploring
Both the M590 and M591 come with everything to be swapped over. Not keeping anything from my current crank.
I have an 8 speed though and I think the RaceFace may be a 10spd but not entirely sure. Awesome price for it though! Not sure if it will be compatible.0 -
I've got a 10sp crank on my 9sp set up not a huge amount of difference between the cranks.
the m590 inc BB weights 960gsm
raceface is 932gsm
choose depending on the look I suppose lol0 -
M591 chainrings are 48/36/26 so that would be the difference.I don't do smileys.

A 10SPD crank won't work on an 8SPD though correct?0 -
