Bike hub clicking
Hi,
I have upgraded my wheel set and it have made a great difference. I love the clicking noise from the rear hub. I remember the manufacture telling me I can replace the grease with another sort of lubricant to make it louder. Can anyone shed any light on this please. They are Swiss side Heidi shadows. Sealed bearings.
Many thanks,
D

The free hub noise is pawls hitting a ratchet ring... depending on the lubrication and viscosity of the lubricant you get more or less noise...
Is this where cycling is heading? Freehub tuning?left the forum March 20230 -
You shouldn't be hearing any clicking at all. That means you've stopped pedalling!0
