campsites & riding: Fussen area

Going to be spending a week or so in the area around Kemptem and Fussen, would like to know, if anyone has any advice on:
Campsite - have a three-year-old, so something family friendly with a pool
Good base for road riding - rides from 50 to over the 100km mark (lots of good climbs, right?)
This is for mid August (like, end of next week!)
Thanks in advance for all replies

In the absence of anybody with more specific advice - try www.eurocampings.co.uk - website for the (Dutch) ACSI. Not 100 percent comprehensive but if you're looking for a site with a pool then it's your best starting point. Most reviews are in Dutch or German but you can work out from the points system more or less how good a site is - 8 or more is very good upper 7s pretty good.
ukcamspites.co.uk also has reviews for campsites abroad but probably best for sites on the UK camper's radar.0 -
This campsite is pretty pricey (about double what’s normally charged in the area) but for that it has an indoor swimming pool, play facilities for children, and much more which other campsites don’t always provide. Also it’s directly on the lake. However, it’s probably more for caravans and mobile homes than for tents.

Although also for caravans and mobile homes, this campsite is probably more suited to tenting and says the local outdoor pool is 2 mins away. Although not on the lake, the campsite apparently has rowing boats at the lake for its guests.

This next website has lots of recommended cycle routes, in three categories – casual riding or electric bike, mountain-bike and road/racing bike. Some good road riding thereabouts, but there are also flattish cycle ways in the area for family cycling days out.

Thanks very much for the info. I'll have good look at the options. Looks like we've got some good weather too so swimming in the lake is quite attractive
