Genesis Croix De Fer Front Wheel Alignment.
Just purchased this bike from PBK last week and only just got round to assembling it.
A tad concerned about the alignment of the wheel to the fork.
There is 1/4 " difference in the gap between both sides and just doesn't look right.
Everything is set up OK and I have no disc rub, but I cant get the wheel central to the fork.
Any suggestions?

Either the wheel is dished wrong or the fork is bent. Either outcome, send it back to the shop.
  • I would recommend taking it back to the shop. Had the same problem with an old Cannondale mountain bike, had to replace the fork.

Try with the wheel the other way around, also do the QR up when the bike is on the ground.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Cant do this as its a disc brake wheel.
Tried the QR several ways but still wont align.
    Will contact PBK tomorrow.
  • It seems as though its the wheel.
Fitted similar wheel off a Boardman Hybrid and its perfect.
Have contacted PBK for replacement, but disappointed as mechanic signed everything off before shipping.
