Hi,
Are any of you nice people from Birmingham? I'll be in the city centre on Saturday with a few hours to kill. I was thinking about hiring a bike (if that's possible) and having a look around. I've never been before so don't have a clue where to go. Any advice would be most welcome.

Yep, Birmingham has got more miles of canal than Venice. Some really nice stretches too. Not really that brilliant on the roads though. The Lickey hills are near enough that you could visit, but depends how far you want to go.

Stay off the roads, with the tunnels closed it's even more confused. Canals are great, watch out for fishermen.--
Saw a sign on a restaurant that said Breakfast, any time -- so I ordered French Toast in the Renaissance.0
