After much thought and trying numerous 29ers I really can't make the choice, tried a Genesis Mantle 20 I really wanted to like this as it was a steal but just didn't feel right tried a Scott scale 970 which felt nice but couldn't get past the not so great Suntour fork, whyte 529 was OK but realised the spec wasn't great for the price.
Anyway started looking at second hand bikes and came across a bike I always like the look of when I got my Rockhopper hardtail but as a beginner at the time thought the hardtail route would be best.
The bike in question http://www.specialized.com/gb/gb/bikes/ ... cpro#specs
Is this still seen as a decent bike also is it worth £700 second hand for a 3 year old bike, the full suss will suit the places I ride, but I'm getting put off by everyone going on about 26ers are going to be obsolete soon, will you still be able to get tyres and the like if they do become obsolete as I plan to get about another 2-3 years out of this before upgrading.
Also having never owned a full suss are they really bad on road as to get to my local trails I have about a 3 mile road ride each way?
Your help guys would be appreciated as I need to get back on some form of MTB ASAP
Cheers Lee

£700......not unless it's in really good condition, even then I think nearer £600....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I had made some upgrades - xtr rear mech, SLX brakes, better wheels. But I found the bottom bracket too low.0
