Alarm system for Tandem + campervan?

Whilst camping with our Trigano Tribute van we keep the tandem outside, (locked up).
I would like to buy or make an alarm system that would trigger a sound or light inside the van if the bike was moved. I don't want a motion sensor as wind etc might set it off and I don't want to wake the whole campsite! I am quite handy with a soldering iron etc so a wiring diagram would do. Something suitable would be a simple cable connected inside the van and looped through the bike which, when broken/disconnected would trigger an alert.
Any ideas please?
Chris

There are loads of alarmed locks out there - from basic cables to chunky U-locks depending on what you want it to do.

Get a camping spot with Mains. Wire the bike to the mains. Hopefully the flash of light and burning smell will alter you.

Crude but effective and cheap; Tie some clear fishing line to the bike and attach a bell to the other end and hang inside the van. Won't bother the other campers and most thieves will never notice the line.
