how do i fit my 7spd cassette?

I've bought a new 7 speed cassette. Included was a thin (0.6mm) spacer/washer with the same profile as the freehub.

Where does this go?

(pls. pardon my ignorance; I've returned to bike fettling after a short break of 47 years)

    between a cog or two. one will not have a ridge on it.

    also what cassette might help.

    Sunrace 7-speed, 12 - 28. 12t sprocket is loose, the rest are rivetted.

    What is it called exactly.

    would think as cog spacing is same on 8sp, that this will be a spacer to go first on the cassette so it doesn't rattle around.

    edit, on thought, might well go between 7th and locking sprocket,
