Did Workington to Tynemouth in 3 days earlier on this year, but a few of us are looking to do another C2C in 1 day, but none of us are fit enough to do 130+ miles in that time, so we're looking for a shorter variation, lol!

A quick Google brings up a Yahoo Q&A - http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/in ... 100AAiLJCW

Has anyone done anything similar? I was looking at something along the lines of Bowness to Tynemouth along Cycle Route 72, should be around 85 miles.

85 miles? Definitely wont get anything shorter than that if its true...

We did a C2C that came in around 120 miles, from Workington to Blackhall Rocks via Keswick, Penrith, Alston, Stanhope, Willington, Bowburn, Castle Eden.

I just quickly Google mapped Bowness On Solway to Tynemouth, and selected cycling directions, it shows as 86.7 miles along cycle route 72, website here starting from Glannaventa - http://www.cycle-routes.org/hadrianscycleway/
