Did the Ride London 100 on Sunday, downloaded onto Strava hoping there was going to be a segment for the hole ride, obviously to see if I had come 1st have had this on a few other sportives. Can see a 82 mile section, and loads of other segments not really a Strava expert anyone have any ideas.

Create your own??
Because there aren't enough segments on strava already0 -
I thought of creating one, but my gps data isn't good enough for the whole route. You only need a couple of drop-outs (trees, tunnels etc) for you to create a segment only you rode.
By the way, I won! It was a race, wasn't it?0 -

Yeeaaas!! Get in my son! Many congratulations GiantMike. Question is, did you stop for the red lights?0 -

Funny you should say that. It felt very weird when the lights changed to red and my immediate thought was to slow down. It took quite a while to get over the urge and I never felt natural riding on the 'wrong' side of the road.
Thanks for the congrats. I popped round to Liz's afterwards for tea and biccies.0 -

Strava linky?? any KOMs?0 -
It was sobering to finish in what I thought was a brilliant time, only to upload my ride to Strava and see absolutely zero placings on there.
I didn't even get any PBs because I've never cycled there before!0 -
Conversely it's completely knackered all the flat London segments on the route: large groups at full tilt with a tail wind and no traffic ignoring all the red lights - good luck getting in the top 500 now! :twisted:2010 Cannondale CAAD9 Tiagra0

Have never ridden in central London before, they like their Strava segments in the capital don't they? There are over 300 segments on my ride from yesterday0
-
There's an awful lot of riders and a corresponding number of (often stupid) segments. Obviously none of the ones I've created for the flat bits of road near me are stupid though, those are real ones...2010 Cannondale CAAD9 Tiagra0

SNAP might help http://strava-tools.raceshape.com/snap/I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Tried that redvee but doesn't like it brings some roads up in yellow? only trying to find out ride times in order.0

There should be a way of mass flagging results which are achieved on segments during closed road races
Not that I'm bitter about losing 15 places on my favorite TT section0 -
Strava was doing some weird stuff. I had a KOM on the ride back from Box Hill ............ shame about the 403 faster people than me. But weirder I am not on the KOM on the segment page ....... not sure if you get one for your age or something.
But it was a very very special day. I never expected to be back at the finish before the pubs opened! My initial train went like the clappers and we got to Hampton Court in under an hour.
If there are any of the guys from Rhyl I'd like to thank them for dragging me in from Box Hill. I tried to spend some time on the front for you but my old legs couldn't keep 35kph going for long. It was also great being in a group with the Dorking club as we went through Dorking.0 -
This was my first time on these roads - how many segments does the likes of box hill need? There are just too many segments all over the place to make the leaderboard and personal timings on them worthwhile.
I did however manage a top 5 for the final sprint on the Mall so obviously that segment is illustrious and has some merit.
Ah baws, just checked it again and now outside the top 10 due to late uploading bastards0 -
I don't understand Strava sometimes, I did RL100 but according to Strava didn't do Leith Hill or Box Hill segments! The Garmin was working ok.0

^ Brilliant ^
Never seem this before and just tried it on a weekend ride. Works a treat.0 -
The only Box Hill segment worth paying attention to is 'Box Hill (Zig Zag Road)'. I hide all the other 30.0
