I've just taken out a policy with MoreThan for my household contents. The basic policy was something like £85 and to add a bike to value of £5k including away from home damage etc added £220. Still a bit pricey but about half the price of independent bike insurance (they were asking £400 - 450 for a £5k bike), and I think they may cover bikes up to £1.5k as standard. Might be worth a look to see if works for your circumstances.0
