I'm looking for some advice between these two bikes.
The Fuji Gran Fondo 2.1 which is currently at Evans at £1350 and a Cube Agree GTC Race at my LBS at £1600. The spec on the cube is slightly better but I was thinking about upgrading the Fuji cassette to a 105 and chain to 105 at a cost of £75 total still making a decent saving compared to the cube.
I have read good things about both bikes and have ridden both to test them out and enjoyed both, hence I need some opinions from this forum please.
I have attached links to both bikes below for spec etc...
Fuji - http://www.evanscycles.com/products/fuj ... 3#features
Cube - http://www.skinnergate.co.uk/p/agree-gt ... -2013.html
Hope you can help.
Cheers

I have the cube and its been a great bike so far. I've changed the bar tape, upgraded to Ultegra brakes and recently put some Planet X 52mm Clinchers on. Not sure about the Fuji, but for the money the Cube is a good bike. Also, if you get it from Leisure lakes bikes, join their VIP club http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/p/8332 ... h-free-kit first I'm sure you get 10% of on bikes (check first).Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

I also have/had the Cube GTC and can confirm its a great bike....I had the 2011 version and could not fault it BUT....I did the C2C 150 miles in a day in June and afterwards I noticed a small hairline crack in the seat tube, I sent an image to cube and they have replaced the frame under warranty, luckily I had 5months left! Cube have now sent me the 2014 frame (not even out yet) and upgraded it to the SL 8)
I wouldn't let my issue put you off (thought i would let you know) as they are great bikes for the money and would defiantly buy another!
Good luck with what ever you chooseBest - Cube Litening Super HPC
Winter - Felt F85,
Nippers - Cube Princess 160

i have to strongly agree (no pun intended) with the other 2 lads.
cube are a very smart marketing company whos idea was simple: start small with great prices get a giant-esque name before spiking or prices year after year. In the shop they used to be by far the best priced when compared to spesh, scott, lapierre but you now pay not equivalent but actually more. the company outsource their frames so theyre made in some factory out in china that does not belong to cube. that said for the amount that go out very little come back in, with the only major issue being those ea30 o.e.m wheels with costant loosening spokes.
Fuji on the hand is a company established for year. Set up by real bike-heads not businessmen with no interest in biking. because its on sale i'd take it hands down, if it werent i think it would be a hard choice for sure but i think this is a twist on the guys answers who says cube because theyve ridden them, this isd a neutral what i see every day of the week perspective.0 -
Cheers for the responses about both bikes. I have test ridden the Fuji and found the more upright riding position comfortable which would suit me for sportives, also upgrading the cassette and chain to 105 should make a difference and it will still come comfortably under the Cube price. I will be test riding the Cube on Tuesday and will let you know what I think of it and which I choose to buy.0
