Anyone know if I can use a 10speed kmc quick link on a 9 speed chain? I could 'try' it but I'd prefer not to break the chain unless I know if will work

Thanks in advance

10 speed chain is slightly narrower so probably not, you'll struggle to close the quick link.

The other way (9 spd link in a 10 speed chain) would just about work in an emergency but might click a bit as it goes around the cassette.

KMC here - as mentioned above, 10 speed MissingLink will be too narrow on a 9 speed chain, but luckily we also sell 9 speed MissingLinks :)
