Which model Rev fork should I go for? Needing a 1 1/8th steerer.

Or is there better models or other forks for the same kind of price? Cheers.

Depends on the year. Have you looked at the RS website for 2013 versions?

It's all very confusing to me.

Can't work out weather to go for the RL solo air or RLT dual position and blah blah.

Nobody can make that decision for you aIl am afraid - does the dual position appeal to you? RLT damper simply adds an external dial for the floodgate (over RL), rather than an allen key adjustment. (this only applies to the Revelation, not other forks)

I was getting a bit puzzled by the terminology too, when I was looking at potential upgrades for my Kraken - Rockshox' website isn't very helpful, it's very short on info on what the differences are between models, and what the terminology actually means.

I've got the simpler Solo Air TK version of the Sektors in Pesky Jones' link which, to me, feel better than a budget orientated fork has any right to (no doubt hard riding heroes may well be able to tie them in knots and get them out of their depth, but they feel pretty damn good to me).

Well I've not locked my forks out for about 9 months of riding almost every day of every week and I never feel like I need shorter travel for climbing when using my 140mm Epicons... Maybe a bit firmer but still the same travel.

Don't they do a version with no lock out and they stay at 150mm all the time? Ha

The few times I've used my lockout on fire road climbs I've always firgotten to switch it back when entering the next trail section, so I don't bother using it anymore.

I never use it, even on long road rides...

I don't do road riding. I'm not a pervert. Well, not that kind anyway.

Which fork, or which perversion?

I'm pretty damn well clued up on perversions, but as for forks, I can't really say - I can only comment on the ones I've used (and Rockshox' website seems very short on useful detail on the differences between models), but my 150mm Sektor TKs (to me) feel more expensive than they are. Anything wrong with your existing forks, or just getting itchy shopping fingers due to the injury, lol?

What features do you want? The lower travel? All dampers are explained in the tech jargon bit.

The TK damper isn't brilliant to be honest, and you've only got 130mm of travel kowalski675.
Too many bikes, not all fully built.

No mate I'll be fine with them at 150mm all the time, I take it those from Merlin I linked to will be fine for me?

Typo on my part - mine are indeed 130s. I know the TK damper is the budget end of the scale, hence my comment about them feeling better than they really have any right to.

Will be fine, low speed compression adjustment, no real need to buy the RLT over the RL.
