Nope, this isn't a thread on the quality of goods sold by this famous company.

I was wending my merry way home on my Via Nirone earlier on this week wondering why I still wans't feeling the benefits of my alpine adventures a few weeks previous when I spotted a fellow rider ahead with a strange looking splodge (for that's the best descripton of what it looked like) on his right calf.

When we pull up at the next set of lights (no RLJ'ing here) I have an opportunity to look closer and notice that it's a reproduction of the Bianchi logo in a light green colour.

Wow, I thought, that's committment to a brand. I wonder if I would ever consider having that done to myself? The Specialized 'S' perhaps or the Morrisons 'M'.

Nah, Tat's are well, tat actually.

What's the point of my little tale? Not much really other than to wonder whether it was anyone off this site.

The killer revelation though? He was riding a BMC!

but Bianchi is tat owned by cycle europe and it used on their "expensive" MTB and road bikes.

maybe that is why he was on a BMC?

I'm pretty sure Celeste isn't an available ink, so to my mind misses the point surely?

I saw this one on tumblr the other day:

Thought it was funny that the chain was in bottom gear.

Personally, I just stick to temporary "Cat 5" tattoos.

I used to know a guy who had Steinberg tattooed on his arm (they make Cubase, a music production sequencer). I asked him about it, and he said how much he loved making music and it was all because of Steinberg so he go the tattoo. Funny thing was - he was using a cracked copy of the software... So although he had this story about wanting to show his support for the company, he was actually just ripping them off.

I had actually paid for my copy of Cubase and was making a living from using it at the time, but I didn't feel the need to "brand" myself.

He's dead now, never got old enough to let it go saggy, life is too short to worry about saggy tattoos I guess - live it ;-)

Irrespective of whether or not the idea of this tat is any good, that is a truly wretched execution of it. Unless he got his five year old to draw it.

I was actually thinking about a chainring tattoo, but a quick google taught me that it's not the most original idea ever. Came across some nice gems for your viewing pleasure though:

I've seen several of those. Or at least I thought I had until I accidentally gave myself one by touching an oily chainring against my calf.

Is it me or is he also pedaling backwards as there's no tension as the chain goes behind the 'not so' big ring ? no pedals either? being picky now...
